![]() At two years of age I was rushed to hospital by my mum with an Asthma attack never having Asthma before then. All of a sudden, I was allergic to food preservatives. As I grew, I couldn't run more than a couple of kilometres without having an Asthma attack. I realised quickly the Asthma medication doesn't help, it's merely a Band-Aid. I ended up on an electric asthma machine for most of my childhood. Probably had it most nights. Anytime I would run around with my cousins I would have to take a break and go on the machine. A few times over the years I had to be taken to hospital because I was really unwell. I had a super weak immune system and was always sick, I was like that until about 15 years old. Couldn't eat any food colouring, preservatives... all soft drinks, lollies, flavoured chips, flavoured ice cream would trigger an asthma attack. I also had a reaction to animal fur. The Asthma medication turned into a Ventolin inhaler around 12 years old. I was unable to play sport most of my childhood as I was incapable, I was really skinny. My Mum was great, taking me to many different doctors... trying everything. We came upon a Doctor that was across many fields and highly educated. Found out I had a fungus in the lung and my immune system was compromised. Changed a lot of things to do with my lifestyle and one of the first things he did was remove the asthma medication, as it makes it worse not better. Over the years I fixed my body and I am no longer allergic to anything, and I haven't had asthma in years and years. My mum knows what caused it, she can only put it down to vaccines as I was a healthy baby. I am one of the lucky ones. It’s phenomenal the amount of people who I speak to about vaccines and adverse reactions to do with food allergies and asthma. I don't know how these pharmaceutical companies and doctors get away with it. I wanted to share my story of hope, I would just like to put the word out there that these things don't have to last forever, and the body is resilient if you feed it the right things.
